The Organizational and Legal Basis for Conducting Operational-Search Activities in Support of Denazification
Annotation
A key objective of the special military operation, alongside demilitarization, is denazification, which aims to protect our country from external and internal threats associated with neo-Nazis. The urgency of taking decisive measures against neo-Nazism at present is due to the fact that it has once again risen to the state level, utilizing the mechanisms of state coercion for its own protection and advancement. Organizational and legal measures to ensure security and denazification are required not only in civilian life but also within correctional facilities, where the organizers and participants of Ukrainian nationalist formations will serve their sentences. Identifying members of Ukrainian nationalist organizations with terrorist, sabotage, and extremist aims constitutes a proactive area of activity for the operational units of competent authorities and is of critical importance for ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation. Therefore, they must have a legislative basis and the necessary authority to carry out intelligence-gathering and operational-search measures on a continuous basis.
