From the Experience of Restoring Educational Institutions during the Great Patriotic War (Based on Materials from the Stalingrad Region)
Annotation
The article touches upon the problems associated with the restoration of educational institutions in the territory liberated from the Nazi occupiers during the Great Patriotic War. Using the materials of the State Archive of the Volgograd Region, which are being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time, and using the example of the work of the Stalingrad Regional Executive Committee and its Department of Public Education, an analysis of the measures taken to implement the restoration plan has been carried out. At the same time, tasks such as the reconstruction of the regional school network, the mobilization of resources for the repair and construction of schools, the restoration of their material base, and the resolution of student nutrition problems were set and resolved. From the perspective of the problems studied, the author gives quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the material, technical and financial support of educational institutions in the frontline zone and in the territories liberated from occupation, the Stalingrad region, in particular. The author shows the features of the restoration of schools and the educational process in the region on the eve and after the Battle of the Volga, their regulation and practice at various stages of the Great Patriotic War. During the preparation of the article, an in-depth analysis of the organizational and legal foundations of the restoration of educational institutions destroyed by the war, as well as the establishment of the educational process in wartime conditions, was carried out. Much attention is paid in the article to the restoration of the educational and methodological fund of schools, the establishment of the production of educational literature and school supplies. The author pays significant attention to the creation of the necessary means of life support for children, which were a necessary condition for them to continue their studies.
