Protection of Copyright in a Blog on the Internet as a Composite Work
Annotation
Currently, the authors note a progressive increase in the number of disputes regarding the protection of intellectual rights in social networks related to blogging activities. In this article, the authors conducted a study of statistics, regulatory framework, judicial practice and scientific opinion related to the protection of copyright on the “Blog” as a composite work. As a result of applying an analytical and comparative approach, having analyzed the collected data, the authors come to the conclusion about the possibility of infringement of intellectual rights to the “Blog” as a whole. However, the judicial doctrine remains uncertain about the legal status of the “Blog” in terms of protecting individual parts of a composite work, but not as a single object of copyright.
