Development Trends of E-Commerce Legislation in Russia and China
Annotation
The introduction of digital technologies into trade has had a significant impact on e-commerce, leading to a new way of selling goods and providing services – through digital platforms (marketplaces). China has achieved significant success in e-commerce. In the PRC, unlike Russia, the Law on Electronic Commerce has been adopted and has proven its effectiveness, in connection with which the study of the Chinese experience of regulating electronic commerce in the context of reforming Russian trade legislation seems useful, first of all, on such key issues as the scope and methods of state regulation, the relationship between state regulation and self-regulation, the definition of the type of activity, functions, rights and obligations of the new subject of trade turnover - the operator of the digital platform. A study of the Chinese experience of legal regulation of e-commerce in comparison with Russian trade legislation allows us to determine the main directions of development of trade legislation of both countries in the context of a platform economy.
