Federal Supreme Court of the Republic of Iraq: history, organization and analysis of judicial practice
Annotation
The article provides an overview of the activities of the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq. The article examines the history of its creation and the legal basis of its activities: the Constitution of Iraq of 2005, the Law “On the Federal Supreme Court” and the Rules of Procedure of the Federal Supreme Court. The author analyzes a number of its decisions. It is concluded that the Federal Supreme Court is one of the key elements in the system of the highest authorities in the state and has a very significant impact on socio-political processes.
